Jain Renewable Energy Solutions Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd.(JISL)started solar division in 1995 with solar waterheatermanufacturing. n Mid of year 2000 introduced solarappliances. n Inyear 2010 started photovoltaic modulemanufacturing. n In year 2010Jain Pioneered in Solar PumpingSystems. n In year 2013 initiatedmanufacturing of DC solar pumps atits Jalgaon facility. n JISL ison of the few manufactures of BLDCmotor in the world. And JISL hasdeveloped 2.2 kW (3 hp) to 3.7 kW(5 hp) brushless DC motor &set up state-of-the-artmanufacturing facility. JISL alsomanufactures BLDC and AC pumpcontrollers. JISL business is backedup by its strong R&Dtesting centre. JISL is the only companyin the world to offercomplete solar pumping solutions. Jain SolarPumping System Solarpumps are specially designed pumps which runat low/ variablefrequency and powered by solar photovoltaicmodules. There are twobasic types of solar pumps viz. DC and ACpumps. In DC pumpsbrushless DC motor is used wheras in AC pumpsspecially designed ACmotor which is compatible to run on Solarpower is used. These pumpsmay be either surface or submersiblepumps. Generally, solar poweredsurface pumps up to 2.2 kW (3 hp)and submersible type up to 75 kW(100 hp). are available.Electronic controller is used between solarPV modules and pumpwhich controls the electrical parameters of thepump. PV modulesare configured in series and parallel connection tosuit theelectrical requirement of pump. These PV modules areinstalled on ametal structure. The structure can be either fixedtype or trackingtype. Tracking structure follows the Sun path andgives 20-25 %more water output than the fixed structure.
